Groom Of The Stool - Producer Pack

Set in the Tudor period of the 1540s, Groom of the Stool tells a high stakes story about one of the FILTHIEST jobs in history.

 

A job that could earn you a knighthood, honour, land and wealth.... but is the gut-wrenching task worth it? For who would choose a career, wiping the royal rear? Meet Francis Scrubber - an average man with average dreams, tricked and swindled into one of the most prestigious roles at Court.

 

Follow Francis as he becomes close (too close) to the larger than life, ailing tyrant, Henry VIII. Put aside all you think you know from the history books, and enter through the back passage into a journey of seduction, danger, deceit and disgust.

This musical is not for the weak of stomach and if you have a dislike for toilet humour, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We seek a producer to come on board to facilitate us taking this musical further. Our first steps would be to  have a 1 week workshop to R&D the already written script and score, followed by a full production hopefully in the summer.
